Bob Barboza and his Kids Talk Radio Occupy Mars Band and Traveling Robot Show appeared before teachers and about eighty Southern California public school students at an innovative Department of Defense Youth Program called “Starbase.” Students were treated to a STEM Plus Plus educational concert complete with a humanoid robotics show. Bob Barboza has agreed to work with Starbase administrators and teachers to help get students excited about learning more about science and robotics.
“If America is going to get stronger in science, we are going to have to work like a team in helping our youth make the grade in STEM. We are excited about helping the Department of Defense to motive students. Our team has developed a new Mars Rover to simulate the work that NASA’s Curiosity Rover is conducting on Mars. In addition, we created a special musical called Occupy Mars and the Other Planets.” Said, Bob Barboza.
The Kids Talk Radio Science program is designed to give young students a voice when it come to talking about STEM. We involve student in project-based learning and visual and performing arts events that are centered around space travel. Bob Barboza and his team came to the Starbase learning Center dressed as astronauts. Students were treated to a demonstration of “Nao” the humanoid robot and several other robots that are being used to explore Mars. Two more workshops are planned for the Starbase Program at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California.
